Heat Pads for Staff Welfare and Corporate Gifts

Heat pads turn up in staff welfare budgets for a simple reason: in a Singapore office, half the team is cold and a good number of them have a stiff neck by four o’clock. It’s a gift people actually use, unlike most of what ends up in a company tote bag.

Here’s what to think about before ordering a few dozen.

Who orders these

  • HR and people teams buying for staff welfare or a wellness week
  • Office managers fielding complaints about the aircon
  • Companies doing year-end gifts for staff or clients
  • Insurers and health providers putting together wellness packs

Why it works as a gift

The test for a corporate gift is whether it survives the first month.

A heat pad does, because it solves a problem the recipient already has that day: a cold office, a tight lower back after a long stretch at the desk, an aching upper back, period cramps at work.

It also sits at a sensible price point. Expensive enough not to read as an afterthought, not so expensive that it looks extravagant or trips your gift policy. On what the bands mean: how much should a heat pad cost in Singapore?

What to sort out before ordering

  1. Adapters. Our pads have a 2 round-pin plug and need a fused adapter for Singapore sockets. Order them with the pads so nobody receives something they can’t plug in. See using a 2-pin plug heat pad safely in Singapore.
  2. Office electrical rules. Some workplaces restrict personal appliances at desks. Worth a word with facilities before you hand out fifty of them.
  3. Size. A flat pad that fits between a lower back and an office chair is the one that gets used daily. See the size guide.
  4. Lead time. Year-end orders get tight. Tell us your date early.
  5. Quantity and delivery. One drop to the office is simpler than shipping to individuals, and cheaper.

Include the safety card

This is the part most gift orders skip, and it’s the one we’d insist on.

A heat pad handed to fifty people goes to a few who shouldn’t use it without thinking first, and to several who will fall asleep on it.

Four lines is enough:

The longer versions: how long to use a heating pad and who should not use a heating pad. If you want something staff can read once and get right, point them at your first week with a heat pad.

If the aircon is the real problem

Worth saying plainly, since we sell these: if half your office is wearing cardigans indoors, adjusting the aircon costs nothing and fixes it for everyone. A heat pad is a good gift, not a substitute for a thermostat conversation.

More on that: freezing in the office aircon.
